Wicked Validation


When Jay saw this sign, in the window of the parking garage where Christa had her car parked, he was baffled. Instead of reading it as saying that the garage accepted validation from the play Wicked, he thought it was possibly written by someone from Boston to indicate that the garage had a kind of superlative validation.

'squire


The 'squire center in Fresno used to be called the 'Esquire Center', but a lawsuit from Esquire magazine put an end to that. Note the identical typeface. Those in charge of the 'squire center saved money by just removing the 'E' from the sign and changing the name of the shopping center, instead of cooking up a new name and logo. British Traffic Daguerreotype?


The sign indicating the presence of traffic cameras in Britain features an image of an old-time camera, which made me think speeding cars were unlikely to be captured on the silver-coated plates with an exposure time of several minutes or whatever it is these things use.
