On my last visit to the south side Powell's I found hardcover copies of Evans and McDowell, Truth and Meaning and Chomsky, Cartesian Linguistics. Powell's can still deliver the goods.
I took a break the other day from reading phil. language in the library and cruised down to Lake Michigan.
Then I rode back to 57th street and had a gelato.
